Halloween Card Party
What an exciting weekend I had with my first two ever Halloween Card parties. I held one class on Saturday and the second on Sunday. We made 2 cards and 3 x 3D paper craft items. There were door prizes, Trick or Treat games, a prize for the best costume, a goody bag with treats and a sit down festive Halloween themed lunch.
The ladies looked awesome in their costumes and we all had a good laugh. I believe everyone enjoyed themselves and went home happy with their creations and a full tummy.
Here are the goody bags filled and ready to give out to my customers upon arrival.
I decorated by cabinet in the craft room to fit in with the Halloween theme. Most of the items were collected from around the house. Now that's a spooky thing in itself isn't it?
Other items were downloaded from clever and generous people happy to share.
My spooky guests arriving on day 1 of my classes. Don't they look fabulous? I'm supposed to be a 'Garden Goddess' all in my greens, but the look got confusing when i had to hold my daughter's Devil fork so she could take the photo!
Everybody picked out a tiny cauldron which contained a tube of chocolate treats, a jointed malleable skeleton and 3 cats punched out with a lucky number on the back for a draw prize, one with a best costume vote to fill out and the third said 'Trick' or 'Treat'. You either received a treat or had to perform a trick.
The trick was pretty harmless.......if you like putting your hands into boxes of the unknown!
These were the items my class went home with. Two cards, a coffin, a mini pizza box and a bakers box which they all constructed themselves. The licorice broom is hard to see but its there hiding in the back and the tomb stone was filled with "Rocky Road Kill".
The ladies are getting down to work.....slowly loosing some of their costumes!
First up was the coffin.
The coffin was filled with lollies, rats, and yup another skeleton.
This supper cute Mini Pizza Box was CASED from the Catalogue, it was such a good idea, I didn't see the need to change it.We filled it with chocolate, of course!
Morning tea was a vital necessity to keep the energy levels up. And what's better than a chocolate graveyard cupcake complete with dirt and bones.
After completing all their projects, my ladies were ushered into the dinning room for lunch. The menu was appropriate to the day's theme.
Apart from the surprise and squeals of delight when they walked in, I'm sure there was a little apprehension as to what is under the silver lid? I'll give you a clue... it's called Dried Snake with Pumpkin Bile. Yum!
Very Best Chicken Sandwitches (with witch hats on top) and Deadly Red Velvet Cup Cakes were amongst some delights on the menu.
Dessert - Ghostly Eton Mess.
We were really spoilt with Kelly's divine shortbread biscuits that she lovingly made just for the parties to share with everyone. Thank you gorgeous Kelly.x
I would also like to thank Michelle S. who spent a whole day helping me prepare some of the class kits. That certainly made things easier.
And I would love to thank all the lovely ladies who came and supported my classes over the weekend. You are fabulous and I love you! xx
