Summer High Tea & Cards

Hi there, welcome to Summer! It's my first High Tea for the year...I have a few planned for this year because it is popular and one of my most favorite classes.

First of all, we make cards and a 3D project in my craft studio. Then once all is finished we retire to the Conservatory, the Garden or in this case due to super hot weather, my dinning room. The scrumptious High Tea is laid out and ready to go for my special guests.

Today we made something a little different...a few cards and a super cute Mini Pizza Box containing 4 mini gift cards. I love this idea because the cards can be handy for little thank you notes or the whole package can make a lovely gift to a friend.

Here is the first card we made. I guess you could call it a Tri Fold. The whole card is made using the Petal Passion Suit from the Occasions Catalogue 2018, page 22. I'm enjoying the many options this stamp and die set is giving me.

The same card with the front page opened to reveal the rest of the greeting. The ladies coloured in the images with the new Stampin' Blends and had a wonderful time doing so.

This is the final page inside the card. There is plenty of room to write your message without using the centre part. Because of the nature of the card, everyone's work was slightly different, depending on where one stamped the floral images on the first two pages. They all looked fabulous and I think everyone was pleased.

This was the 3D item we made today. I did get the idea from another Stampin'Up! Demonstrator...Mary Hanson. I just loved it so recreated it.

The sides were also decorated. We used the Painted Harvest Stamp Set and Punch. It really is a fabulous set and i am so glad it is continuing on from the Holiday Catalogue.

Inside the Mini Pizza Box is 4 lovley 3"x3" gift cards. All ready to write in and send in the stamped envelopes.

Even though this is a multi stamp set.... you need to stamp up to 4 images to complete the flower....I have found it to be a very easy one because of the loose line art and the water image effect. This means you don't need to be 100% accurate with your stamping skills to get a lovely finished image. It's very forgiving.

A close up of the 3"x3" gift cards. I just love the textured finish on the petal images.

Here is a sample of the Sunflower in Blue, just for a bit of fun.

After the cards and craft was finished, everyone gathered into the dinning room and relaxed with a cup of tea, scones, home made jam, cream, ribbon sandwiches, Haige Chocolates, mango sorbet and apricot slice.

A perfect way to end the morning.

A big thank you to my dear friends Mrs Michelle S and Madi for helping me prepare the class and to my fantastic beautiful mumma for getting the food ready to serve.

Wish to know more about Classes at The Maples in the Adelaide Hills? Want a Stampin'Up! Catalogue or have any other questions, please contact me, I'd be happy to help.

Enjoy your day,

Sharni. x
